TECCO® pillars protect against underwater instabilities
TECCO® pillars made from high-tensile steel wire are employed to protect submerged dam footings against instabilities and cratering. They are filled with coarse gravel and sunk close together, thus forming an effective protection against excavation or washing-out and scouring. The pillar diameters are dimensioned to be inherently stable, but at the same time sufficiently flexible to adapt to a changing supporting surface in a small space. TECCO® stabilizes riverbanks
After cleaning, leveling and profiling the riverbank, the TECCO® steel wire mesh is stretched out with a defined force using earth or rock nails. This enables the mesh to prevent high-water erosion.
